LV Digital Shed

November 11th

A lot of good things have been happening at The VRI this week.

On Saturday at The VRI, the Farmer’s market was held and one of our participants was there to show off the lovely produce and planter boxes we had worked on over last week. It was a cold and windy day, yet many turned out to shop local and support the 50 Mile Farmers Market.
Annder, our Serving the Valley project worker, started delivering a short Hospitality course at The VRI with participants from the community and from the hall. We have had local businesses contribute to the course and Deanna from Catinalla’s Caffe & Winebar and Rishi from The 3844 contributed to the learning by delivering parts of the course. Many other great local food businesses have contributed to the course and we appreciate the generosity of their time and support.

This course led to a luncheon held on Wednesday for some special guests, volunteers and participants which went well and everyone was pleased with the day. Special thanks for the crew in the kitchen who kept the experience smooth for all the course participants.

And as always; if you have an issue with your devices or technology, new or old, bring it in to the VRI Hall between 10am and 3pm today and let our LV Digital Shed volunteers assist you!
